At AKP, sustainability isn’t just an initiative—it’s a core part of who we are and how we operate. From the shop floor to strategic planning, our efforts are guided by the belief that true innovation includes protecting the planet for generations to come.
We are proud to share that as of today, 90% of our total energy consumption is powered by green energy sources. This remarkable milestone reflects our long-term commitment to reducing our reliance on conventional power and investing in renewable alternatives. A significant part of this success—12% of our green energy usage—comes directly from our in-house solar energy investments, which continue to expand every year.
But we’re not stopping here. Our vision is clear: to achieve 100% green power usage by the year 2030.
AKP has installed a roof top solar solution of 570KW & another 125KW is in process.
This ambitious target underscores our proactive stance on climate change and positions us as a frontrunner in sustainable manufacturing. To reach this goal, we’re continually enhancing our energy strategy through increased solar deployment, renewable energy procurement, and innovative energy management systems.
Our approach to sustainability extends well beyond energy sourcing. At AKP, we’ve adopted energy-efficient processes across all production units to reduce energy consumption without compromising productivity or quality. Through upgrades in machinery, LED lighting systems, optimized HVAC operations, and real-time energy monitoring, we have successfully cut down excess usage and improved operational efficiency.
In tandem with energy conservation, we have embraced responsible manufacturing practices that focus on reducing our overall carbon footprint. This includes responsible waste management, water conservation, minimal use of hazardous materials, and the promotion of circular economy principles wherever possible. We believe that ethical manufacturing is not only good for the environment—it’s good for business and society at large.
To ensure transparency and inspire confidence in our sustainability journey, we’ve developed compelling infographics and data visuals that capture our progress in energy savings and CO₂ reduction. These visual elements present key metrics such as year-on-year reduction in emissions, solar energy production output, and energy efficiency gains. By showcasing this data, we not only highlight our achievements but also create a shared sense of accountability and motivation across our teams and partners.
